CLASS DESCRIPTION
Who is this class suitable for?
Beginners to intermediate makers
What will I make?
You will make two or three settings using heatproof synthetic stones and sterling silver. Once you are happy with your setting you will build it into the piece of your choice - ring, pendant or earrings, it's up to you.
What will I learn?
You will learn to prepare and shape the silver to accept the stone, how to apply the heat to fuse the silver around the stone securely without damaging it and how to use the settings in your jewellery. You'll learn how to finish and polish your piece around the set stone or oxidise to achieve your choice of finish.
What is included?
All tools and equipment are provided. Your class fee includes three synthetic stones and enough silver to create one final piece or a selection of settings to take home and use to create pieces in your own time.
