Cold Water Casting - Saturday 6th December morning

Using 100% recycled metal, this is the answer to your ECO Christmas gift ideas! In this 2.5 hour workshop suitable for beginners and advanced makers, you will be able to complete a pendant or pair of earrings. Please bring your scrap silver or gold, - broken chain, lost earrings or any off cuts you will never use. Reuse those sentimental pieces and create something to treasure. Don’t have any scrap? CLASS DESCRIPTION
Who is this class suitable for?
Improvers, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional levels
What will I make?
You will make up to three cold water casts, one or two of which which can be finished into an item of your choice. The exact form of the cast will vary due to the nature of the casting technique.
What will I learn?
You will learn how to clean the scrap metal and prepare it for melting. You'll learn to flux and heat the metal until it is fully molten and how to safely and carefully pour the molten metal into cold water to create a unique, organic cast form.
What is included?
All tools and equipment are provided. Please bring with you your own scrap gold or silver to work with. Scrap will also be available to buy on the day if required.
