We are so lucky in Nottingham to be surrounded by wonderful makers, creatives, and artists. Many of them are jewellers too. We love being part of a whole community of tool-loving, workshop-living, dirty-fingered metal smiths. Hooray for jewellers in all their glory! Here are some of our favorites, all just a stone's throw from the NJS workshop.
Celebrating Local Artisans
Being surrounded by talented individuals in our community is a true gift. Every jeweller brings their unique flair and perspective to the art form. The connection we feel towards these craftsmen and women is incredible.
In this post, we will showcase some standout jewellers from Nottingham. They not only create beautiful pieces but also tell compelling stories through their work. Let's dive into their unique worlds.
BONEARROW
A celebration of the strange, Bonearrow is an ode to the odd. They make magic in metal for misfits, weirdos, and witches. Every piece of Bonearrow jewellery is more than an accessory; it's like a potent spell, imbued with elements of ritual magic and gothic symbolism.
Located in Nottingham's Sneinton Market, we adore how the creator weaves narrative and storytelling into her distinctive dark style. The work is truly unique and beautifully made.

CAMPFIRE AND COMPASS
Riley's nature-inspired designs emerge from a desire to shut off the chatter of daily life. He yearns to reconnect with the outdoors and remember what is truly important. The beauty of nature can be captivating and deeply thought-provoking, inspiring a sense of calm wonder.
Riley translates elements of the wild into his hand-crafted jewellery, allowing us to appreciate the Earth. His studio in Beeston is where the magic happens, and we love the authenticity and soul he instills in each piece.

LAUREN BELL-BROWN
Lauren creates unique, handcrafted, lost-wax cast pieces of jewellery. She embellishes her creations with ethically sourced gemstones or handcrafted textile florals. Inspired by 19th-century fairy tales and antique floral book covers, her work reflects her interpretations of these stories.
Working in her Woodthorpe workshop, Lauren merges richly decorative elements with enchantingly contemporary styles. Her confident designs truly stand out.

JANE FROST JEWELLERY
Handcrafted tactile jewellery from a curious mind, Jane creates pieces in her North Nottingham studio that are more than just ornamental; they are treasures meant to be cherished. Her eclectic inspirations are diverse and can come from anywhere, at any time.
Drawing inspiration from the shape and motion of the sea, Victorian clockwork mechanisms, and fossils, Jane's designs explore minute details. We love the tiny worlds she creates and the captivating stories woven through her work.

The Impact of Local Jewellers
Jewellers have a significant impact on our community. They not only create beautiful pieces but also foster connections among individuals. Each piece they craft tells a story, making it meaningful to the wearer.
Moreover, supporting local artisans helps the economy. In a world that often feels chaotic, investing in handmade, locally crafted jewellery is a step toward slowing down and appreciating the craft.
Connecting Through Crafts
These local artisans help us remember the importance of community and quality craftsmanship. They create more than jewellery; they create connections and stories. Each piece serves as a reminder to cherish the relationships we cultivate.
If you know a jeweller we should know about, let us know! We are always excited to learn more about the talented individuals in our community. Together, let’s celebrate the beauty of local craftsmanship and inspire each other through our crafts.
We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such talented and inspiring jewellers. Their dedication and creativity light up our community, and we can't wait to share even more of their stories with you. Let's continue to support and uplift each other in this vibrant artistic journey!
