Roll Printed Lace Wrap Rings - 29th November afternoon

This afternoon class will teach you how to use a rolling mill to transfer patterns and textures from lace into solid silver sheet. to create a piece of jewellery that will be treasured. You'll  use traditional jewellers tools to shape and refine your silver and then learn how to form the printed metal into a wrap style ring.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Who is this class suitable for?
Complete beginners and improvers.
What will I make?
You will make a solid silver pendant or a pair of drop earrings with an imprinted lace pattern.
What will I learn?
You will learn how to prepare and anneal your silver to take an impression and how to use the rolling mill to imprint the lace texture into the surface of the metal.  You'll learn how to take the sheet of textured silver and use traditional jewellers tools to cut and smooth the shape create the wrapped ring shape.
What is included?
All tools and equipment are provided. Enough silver to create one ring is provided. More silver will be available to buy if required.
