Nottingham Jewellery School

Healthy, hygienic and happy jewellery making.

Health and safety is always our top priority. Jewellery making can be a dangerous business. You can see our existing safety policy here.

We are just as careful when it comes to workshop hygiene. As Covid 19 changes the way we all have to live we have adapted the workshop environment to reflect the latest government guidlines and precautions.

We take that responsibility seriously and we know that working together is the best way to keep us all hygienic, happy and healthy.

Hand Hygiene

What we will do.

  • Limit classes to just six students per class.

  • Observe social distancing measures.

  • Leave windows and doors open to increase ventilation.

  • Provide hand washing and sanitising facilities.

  • Provide separate basic  tool sets for each student.

  • Provide plastic face shields for each student.

  • Sanitise the workshop at the end of each session.

  • Provide cleaning wipes for each student.

  • Follow government guidelines on track and trace.

What we ask you to do.

  • Follow government guidelines on public transport.

  • Wash or sanitise your hands when you enter the workshop.

  • Store your personal belongings in the cubbies provided.

  • Observe social distancing measures

  • Wear a plastic face shield while in the workshop. These are proven effective in preventing the spread of the virus, are safer in the workshop than fabric masks and more comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

  • Wipe down tools after use

  • Do NOT attend your session if you have any potential symptoms of Covid 19. Please let us know and we will rearrange or refund your class.

  • Let us know if you develop Covid 19 within 14 days of your class.
